After being diagnosed at age 36 with young-onset Parkinson's Disease, David Blanchard decided he wasn't going to just wait around for his symptoms to get worse. The diagnosis spurred him and his family into action, raising money to find a cure. Surrounded by an incredible support system of family, friends, coworkers, clients, and friends-of-friends, Team Silver Linings was formed.

Team Silver Linings has raised over $100,000 since his diagnosis in 2019 through multiple events including the New England Parkinson's Ride, Boston Fox Trot, various MJFF virtual 5Ks, and an annual Pickleball 4 Parkinson's Tournament that the family started in 2022. All of the money raised over the years has gone to (and will continue to benefit) the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's research.
